What goes on a 2550Q
- the year and quarter, and whether it’s an amended return
- the taxpayer’s TIN, RDO code, registered name, address and contact details
- the quarter’s sales by kind (VATable, zero-rated, exempt, sales to government) and the output tax
- purchases and allowable input tax, and its adjustments
- the VAT payable, credits and penalties, and the total amount due
- the signature of the taxpayer or authorized representative
Fixed details once, figures each quarter
A client’s TIN, RDO, registered name and address don’t change from quarter to quarter. Keep them in the client’s record, and each quarter only the sales, purchases and VAT figures are new. Use the same record for their other BIR forms, and fields with the same labels fill from what you’ve already entered.
Every VAT client in one go
Export the quarter’s totals with one row per client, named as in BoltPDF, and import the CSV: it updates those clients’ records, and cells you leave blank keep what’s saved. Generate the batch and download a ZIP with a filled 2550Q for every client. Open any one of them to check it before you file.
